Nutritional changes to tackle Diabetes: A client’s story

I contacted Ophelia late last year to provide dietary advice to help me tackle my diabetes, which was diagnosed last year. When I started working with Ophelia in December I weighed 92 kg, when I stopped working with her three months later I weighed 82 kg, which had been my target. I continued to put her advice into practice and a couple of months on I now weigh 77kg. More importantly, I am now in remission from diabetes. Ophelia has played a major part towards this. She has given me excellent down-to-earth advice in a very accessible way. The changes in my diet have involved manageable changes (such as aiming to eat 30 different plants a week, eating vegetables first, fasting for 12 hours), been easy to make and helped me understand what a balanced healthy diet looks like. She knows her stuff. It’s been a pleasure to work with her and I’m hugely grateful to her for helping my achieve my goals and put me on the path towards beating diabetes.
